Bachmann 31-537: Class 105 2 Car DMU BR Green Half Yellow Ends (Power Twin)
The British Rail Class 105 diesel multiple units were built by Cravens Ltd. of Sheffield from 1956 to 1959. These vehicles were of steel construction and had bodyside profiles identical to Mk I stock, using the same types of doors and windows (Cravens also built Mk Is). The front ends were distinctive, with two large windows giving good forward vision for the driver and passengers. The sets operated in areas around Manchester, Scotland, East Anglia, East & North London, Newcastle, Cumbria and Lincolnshire.
The last vehicles were withdrawn in 1988 and three examples are preserved.
